Pleasantly surprised by Bali

If we are being perfectly honest, Bali really wasn't somewhere that had interested me in ever visiting until last year, with only a short amount of leave and desperate need of a holiday, I was convinced into spending a week in Seminyak with my partner.  And I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised by the experience.

It was a really relaxing holiday and with the help of a friend who was a travel agent at the time, we stayed at a beautiful resort in Seminyak, a short walk from the beach and out of the hustle and bustle of the main streets of Kuta.

Whilst we were there, be booked ourselves into a traditional cooking class where we were taken to the local markets to pick fresh produce, and then cooked up a banquet of delicious meals.  We were able to sit down and eat the food afterwards and also have the recipes at home but I'm yet to try to cook them again!

  1. We haven't been, but it's making its way on to the list. Several friends swear by it.

  2. Lovely pictures.... I must admit I've never been to Bali, but it might be something my partner and I should add to the 'travel' list.
