In preparation for our trip to India next year, I've come across a great read on Lonely Planet titled: "5 Tips for India first-timers". I'm trying to get as much inspiration as I can for the trip so would welcome any recommendations you might have!
Take a read of the artical I found here: http://www.lonelyplanet.com/india/travel-tips-and-articles/76017

Pleasantly surprised by Bali
If we are being perfectly honest, Bali really wasn't somewhere that had interested me in ever visiting until last year, with only a short amount of leave and desperate need of a holiday, I was convinced into spending a week in Seminyak with my partner. And I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised by the experience.
It was a really relaxing holiday and with the help of a friend who was a travel agent at the time, we stayed at a beautiful resort in Seminyak, a short walk from the beach and out of the hustle and bustle of the main streets of Kuta.
Whilst we were there, be booked ourselves into a traditional cooking class where we were taken to the local markets to pick fresh produce, and then cooked up a banquet of delicious meals. We were able to sit down and eat the food afterwards and also have the recipes at home but I'm yet to try to cook them again!

France & Greece
I've realised that my last trip away was actually quite some time ago - August 2014! Surely that means I'm overdue for one next year!
My sister and I booked a very last minute express (two and a half week) trip to Europe to meet up with our parents in August last year. I'd already been to both France and Greece but it was a fantastic opportunity to experience travelling with my younger sister.
We flew directly into Paris, where we had two nights on our own. We spent the first day doing a bike tour around the city which was really enjoyable. That night, we went to dinner in the Eiffel Tower restaurant, which a friend had recommended to us. It was a great experience.
We then caught a regional train to the south of France to meet our parents in a gorgeous little town called Amboise, where we spent another two nights.
Following this, we caught the regional train back into Paris and after a short plane ride, we arrived into Mykonos with our parents. I'd been to Greece before, however has never been to Mykonos, as it had never interested me much. However, I was blown away by how gorgeous the old town was.
Next we caught a ferry across to Santorini which was just magical. We stayed nearby the red beach so spent the majority of our time eating, drinking cocktails and laying in the sun. There was a great winery that we spent the day at and have a few nights in Fara watching the sunset and also did a day trip out to walk on the volcano and then watch the sun go down with a seafood dinner on the water.
Our last stop for our trip was one night stay in Athens. We spent the majority of our last day heading up to see the Pantheon - a very hot day to be walking around in the direct sun but well worth it.

Hi my name is Meghan and I'm an avid traveller from Australia.
I have started this blog to share with you my travel tips and stories from around the world and hopefully collaborate with others to gain some insights for my future endeavours.
So far, I have covered most of Europe and South East Asia, however there are quite a few more countries on my list. For my next holiday, I would like to travel India. The U.S. is also a big one on my to-do list.
Stay tuned for my next blogpost where I will be sharing my recent trip to France and Greece.
